Tim Stokes is a coastal folk and blues singer/songwriter based in Byron Bay, a fertile region for Australian artists, on the North Coast of NSW, Australia.
A big-hearted man with a pocket full of songs, reminding us of who we are and what really matters. He is a combination of the swoon of Elvis’ ‘Can’t Help Falling in Love With You’ and the party starter vibe of ‘Dumb Things’ Paul Kelly. Tim Stokes is an artist able to open your heart, expand your mind and get your body grooving with songs that branch the bridges between ages, generations and walks of life. He shares songs sewn with hope, love and light, reminding us the “cracks are there for the light to shine in.”
Stokes live is an experience entered into. A smooth, honest, comforting voice complemented with his trusty 'Maton' acoustic guitar. Delivering songs that oscillate from upbeat celebrations to deep oceanic ballads. These songs can be poetic images from Tim’s own journey, some songs are journeys in themselves and some of it is just plain fun.
Tim Stokes has played the stages of Splendour in the Grass, Bello Winter Music Festival, and Mullumbimby Music Festival along with many live music venues nationally and internationally.
